There is no place in the world quite like WAIKIKI. Waikiki is one of the most famous beaches and places in the world because of the white sand beaches, exquisite warm water, gentle waves and Diamond Head as an incredible backdrop along with some of the finest restaurants and amazing shopping. Although Waikiki is a fairly dense neighborhood, there is plenty of green space at Fort DeRussy Park, Kapiolani Park and the Ala Wai Golf Course. Within Waikiki there are over 1,000 stores and restaurants and 10,000 plus hotel rooms. It is truly amazing how many people visit Waikiki every year.
Waikiki condos are a market of their own with probably the highest non-owner occupancy rate in all of Hawaii. You can get anything from a fee simple one room studio for about $200,000 to a multimillion dollar penthouse with views of the entire coast. The draw of Waikiki condos is that they offer an amazing island lifestyle with all the activities and conveniences one could want. Within walking distance you could be taking a surf class, go world class shopping, eat at world class restaurants and enjoy three or four Starbucks. You can wear your wet board shorts into a Gucci store, hail a limousine, cab, bus or catamaran.
There is nothing in the world like Waikiki with so much to do and most everything being so convenient. There is a lot to love because of the incredibly diverse number of condos available. Even though it is only a few square miles, there are over a hundred high-rise buildings in this small area. Approximately thirty percent of the residential units are owner occupied with the remainder being used as second homes or investments. This makes it possible to rent Waikiki condos all year long because of the large number of international visitors.
In Waikiki, you can own an amazing condo in a high-rise with views that seem forever. For a million dollars or two you can get a modern marvel sitting hundreds of feet above paradise with great ocean views. Many of the oceanfront condos in Oahu have large lanais and of course those wonderful trade winds. For many oceanfront living means a high-rise condo or a large penthouse that can range from 500-2,500 plus square feet. |
